The Exorcist rocked America when it came out in 1973. Does it still hold the power to scare? In today's world of computer generated animation, what parts of the exorcist still work? What parts are no longer scary?

1- Love For Horror
Tell me about a time when you first fell in love with horror fiction or film.
"You know a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy.” Charles Manson
A long time ago, in a little house in Niles, IL, there was a little kid named Bryan Golenia. This little kid was always afraid of the dark. Every night before he would go to bed, he would make sure no one was in his room. Bryan would check the closet and under his bed for the old boogey man. He would also close his blinds so that no one could see in his room and lock his door so that no one can get inside his safe and secure room. Ever since he was little, his sister would scare him into thinking that there lived a dragon near the furnace room in our basement. So after Bryan’s sister told him that, he would be scared to down into the basement since he thought the dragon would come after him. Another scary thing that Bryan had encountered was that he would always hear noises within the walls and house when he was alone. Bryan always thought that the house was haunted and he never wanted to be alone. Even though Bryan thought his house was haunted, he would read the Goosebumps book series since his sister had collected most of them. Bryan was determined to find a way to think that the noises and thoughts of ghosts were not true. So even though he was terrified he would read those books and watch some scary televisions shows. He would watch these shows with his sister since she was not afraid of any ghosts. Some of those shows were: Casper the friendly ghost, Are you afraid of the dark, and Ghostbusters. After reading books and watching shows about ghosts and blood and guts, he then realized that his sisters story’s that she told Bryan were not true. Bryan likes to watch lots of horror movies about ghosts and other scary things since he now knows that those kinds of things are not real, they were only things made up in his mind. He still remembers that good book series, Goosebumps, which he used to read back in his past. Bryan now takes a big interest in watching horror films and he enjoys the scares that those films give him. Nothing is better than listening to people scream because something in the film had popped out of nowhere. Also, one of his favorite holidays is Halloween because he gets to dress up really scary that day. On Halloween he would scare the kids and watch them start to run away in terror, but he would make sure they got their candy treat. Even though some people might not like these horror films and books, I enjoy really enjoy watching horror movies and reading horror books for the scares they give me. Those kinds of horrors and suspense, makes myself think more than any other type of genre.
